Tenants

Tenants of the Center share space, equipment, and ideas.  The Center is designed to:

  • Foster collaborations
  • Engage new people in our work
  • Facilitate communication and partnerships
  • Build capacity
  • Provide quality space

Center tenants share a commitment to a just and sustainable society.   Current tenants focus on a variety of issues including civil rights, civic engagement, environmental protection, nonprofit support, and training.  We believe there is a value in this type of cross-sector clustering, and the Center will provide an opportunity for space-based collaboration.

The initial tenants and partners are all entrepreneurial and are willing to:

  • Take measured risks to develop this model
  • Work together to reduce costs
  • Develop a model that can be expanded and replicated

Our long-term goal is to expand.  We envision becoming a home to even more nonprofits.  We fully expect to realize our plans for expansion given the following:

  • Nonprofits’ natural inclination to collaborate
  • The site’s location is within a larger campus that allows for future expansion
  • Centrally located with access to bike path and bus routes
