Do You Really Need a Fundraising Board? If So, Now What?

If fundraising is not a part of the current board culture, changing that culture will be difficult. Is it necessary? How do we get started? How long will it take?  We’ll discuss the pains and gains of cultural change and offer some practical tips for eventual success.

Trainer:  David Allen is a non-profit organizational development consultant.  He works with organization boards to help their members learn how to be better leaders and advocates.  David's background includes 30 years working in membership fundraising, major donor development, communications, and marketing. David's work includes working for Nature Conservancy (TNC) chapters in Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin both individual chapter support and as an internal fundraising consultant and major donor development trainer.  In March of 2009, David launched his consulting business under the name Development for Conservation.
