Accounting for Contributions, Exchange Transactions, Agency Transactions and Fundraising Events

(Event is Full. To be put on waiting list, please email shemling@communityshares.com)

The reporting requirements for transactions involving receipts by your nonprofit organization can be complex and confusing. This session will help you define the different types of sources, their restrictions and how they should be reported in your financial statements. Particular emphasis will be placed on contributions and the differences in reporting restricted verses unrestricted resources. For Fundraising events, there are some options for you to consider which can significantly change how these are presented. This session will take the mystery out of reporting and help you choose what is the best approach for your organizations’ financial statements.
