Office Hours with M3 Insurance Solutions

Laura Schurman is an Account Executive with M3 Insurance Solutions, Inc. (M3). She is dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of nonprofits and small businesses and their employee benefit needs. While providing service for the customer, Laura continues to help to develop new and more efficient ways to serve M3’s small business and nonprofit clients.

Laura has more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry. She has worked in human resources, marketing, and sales, and has handled products as diverse as life insurance and professional liability insurance. Laura joined the team at M3 in 2000. While building career experience, Laura earned a master’s degree in psychology, which she received from Edgewood College in 1998. She is a licensed health and life and property and casualty insurance agent and a group benefit disability specialist, and has begun work on her Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation. She is a member of the South Madison Metropolitan Business Association and the scholarship committee of the Business Forum and was a member of the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters (WAHU) for ten years. Laura has served as a VIP for the Easter Seals’ Impact Campaign and is a volunteer coordinator for M3’s Toys for Tots drive.

Bring your nonprofit legal questions to Melissa Scholz of Scholz Nonprofit Law’s office hours in the Center for Change.  Her expertise includes a wide range of day-to-day issues, legal or otherwise, affecting 501c3 and 501c4 organizations. Melissa Auchard Scholz, principal attorney, brings over 20 years of practical experience as a lawyer, fundraiser, policymaker, nonprofit employee, and community volunteer. She unites her expertise in nonprofit law with her experiences as a community leader, organizer, and fundraiser. Melissa’s experience working with a diverse group of local and national nonprofits, ranging from large institutions to small volunteer-run groups, allows her to offer expertise and perspective that is specific to non-profits.
